(Anaheim, California) - Starting off with an intense online ladder season, the best Warcraft III players from around have been attempting to qualify for the Blizzcon 2008 Championships for most of the year. The ladder season moved onto regional LAN finals for Korea, Europe, and America, where the final eight to compete at Blizzcon were finally selected.

The Koreans are the clear favorites in Anaheim, but you can't exactly count out the rest. Lucifron and Happy had great showings at their regional qualifier, and it will be interesting to see how they perform here. The tournament will be running a simple double elimination bracket, the winner being able to call themselves Blizzcon 2008 Champion.
