CEVO-Professional revisits mp_crossfire in week 5:2.
Things are starting to return to normal for North American Call of Duty. Pandemic and EG are winning again, NaLzy is a constant presence on GotFrag threads, and CEVO-P keeps chugging along. Perhaps the return to normalcy has gone a bit too far, what with a second team dying this week, itsOver. It certainly is over for iO. Waters run deep in the Professional division and it is easy to get swept under. But enough about that, how about the week 5:2 mp_crossfire matches? There were matches Monday night, weren’t there?
Of the 8 matches on the schedule for Monday night, two were played. Pandemic slid past first place Team Dynamic by a 13-11 final and Eximius picked up a much needed 14-10 victory over Awakening. The only other result in so far from Monday is FocaL’s forfeit win over the recently deceased iO. rSports may have managed to salvage their roster and return from the dead so it remains to be seen whether they can avoid a hijack and resume playing. Other than that, there are four matches that remain unscheduled. In a league where everybody plays each other once and only the top six see a postseason, it goes without saying that every match counts. This is particularly true as we approach the final few weeks of season two. GotFrag will update the 5:2 scoreboard as soon as more matches are played.
